You are probably thinking how did anyone convince me to go to the city in 40 degrees ??? Well my teammate Charlotte who is from France came home with me for Thanksgiving and I really wanted to get her to the city to see the tree, Times Square and Bryant Park.

Alsoooo I bought a cute jacket , scarf and ear muffs so a good outfit did have some convincing too.

It was a super quick trip. We drove in around 8 and dropped Franzi off at the train station so she could take her train back to Lowell. (She was my roommate at Umass Lowell and she also came for Thanksgiving.)

We parked and started with the tree!! It wasn’t lit yet and since it was a Saturday morning it wasn’t crowded at all which was super nice. We’ve never drove to the city and back with no traffic so this was a first. Here’s a few pics of us at the tree.

Next up we went to Times Square. We just walked through and the New Years 2026 ball is up so we got to see that.

Sooooo cold.

Then we made our way to Bryant Park. They got Waffles and Dinges. It smelt so good and they all enjoyed them. I was too cold to eat outside because that would require taking my hands out of my sweater and putting away my hand warmers which I obviously couldn’t do…. So I just sat there and took some more pictures of course.

But there was a Whole Foods store across the street so I grabbed a bagel for the ride home.

That’s pretty much all we did. But it was a great quick trip and perfect length to survive the cold weather.
